    • Overview
The Chief Election Administrator (CEA) invites eligible students to submit self-nominations to occupy Ex-Officio Portfolio seats on the Campus Student Representative Council (CSRC) for the 2026/2027 term, on nomination by the Student Council they represent.

This self-nomination form must be submitted by no later than 23:45 on 26 July 2026. Following self-nomination, your Student Council must confirm your nomination between 27 and 29 July 2026 (by 23:45) before your nomination is accepted.

      This form captures:

      1. Your Nomination PIN authentication
      2. Your Acceptance of Nomination declaration (including your undertaking to be bound by the Electoral Code of Conduct and the ISRC Constitution, and a declaration of eligibility)
      3. Evidence of your recognised leadership position within UFS

      Eligibility Requirements (Constitution, section 12)

A candidate must, among other requirements:

      1. Be a full-time, currently registered UFS student meeting the minimum registration period for their campus (3 consecutive semesters for Bloemfontein/Qwaqwa; 1 semester for South Campus)
      2. Have achieved an academic average of at least 60%, calculated across passed modules only
      3. Have passed at least 75% (rounded up to 80%) of enrolled modules in the two preceding semesters. Dropped or withdrawn modules are excluded from both calculations; a failed module counts toward the pass rate but not the average; a module without a final result renders the candidate's record incomplete and the candidate may not stand
      4. Not have been found guilty of serious misconduct, or convicted of a crime resulting in imprisonment or a fine exceeding R5,000
      5. Not be in full-time employment during their CSRC term
      6. Sign the Electoral Code of Conduct
      7. With respect to the Bloemfontein and Qwaqwa Campuses, upload proof that you have served in a recognised UFS leadership position as determined by the authorised Office within UFS

Nomination Requirements (Constitution, Annexure B, s.6.1.2 and s.6.4)

Ex-Officio nomination proceeds in two stages:

      1. Self-Nomination — you initiate your own nomination through this form using your own Nomination PIN.
      2. Council Confirmation — the relevant Student Council, through its Secretary, Chairperson, or duly authorised official, confirms that you are its duly endorsed representative and that you meet the applicable Eligibility Requirements.

No secondment applies to Ex-Officio nominations. Your nomination is not recorded as complete until both stages have been finalised.
